Prompt Ambulance Central is accepting applications from Indiana certified or nationally certified EMTs and Paramedics, as well as EMT students who are about to take their state certification exam. Prompt Ambulance Service continues to steadily grow and as we grow so does the need to add quality personnel to our team. We currently have or foresee having the following job openings:

Paramedic

The minimum requirements to be considered for employment as a Paramedic:

• have current National Registry or Indiana State Paramedic Certification
• have current CPR and ACLS certification
• must already be or have the ability to be sponsored under the Methodist Hospital Paramedic System
• have the ability to adhere to the physical needs of the position and
• have open availability to meet the needs of the community and our customers

EMT-Basic

The minimum requirements to be considered for employment as an EMT-B:

• have an Indiana State Certification
• have a current CPR certification card
• have a valid driver's license with no serious infractions
• have the ability to adhere to the physical needs of the position
• have open availability to meet the needs of the community and our customers

Dispatcher

All applicants for positions in the dispatch center must:

• have computer experience using Windows based applications
• be able to speak clearly and concise
• obtain Emergency Medical Dispatch Certification in a timely manner
• have the ability to adhere to the physical needs of the position
• have open availability to meet the needs of the community and our customers

Medcar

All applicants interested in Medcar positions must:

• must have a valid driver's license with no serious infractions
• have the ability to adhere to the physical needs of the position
• have open availability to meet the needs of the community and our customers

Q: How do I apply for a position with Prompt Ambulance Central?
A: On the "Careers" page, click on "Employment Application" to download Prompt's employment application. When completed, please submit your application to Prompt, either by fax, email, or U.S. Post.

Q: What is the expected time-frame before knowing my application status?
A: Prompt contacts all applicants by phone, usually within one week of receiving an application.

Q: I submitted my application, but I have not heard back. What should I do?
